Tourism Confederation o f Tanzania is Currently collaborating with improving Skills Training for employment Program (ISTEP),an education for employment program of colleges  and Institutes  Canada (CICAN) , to establish and implemtnt the functions of Tourism Sector Council in Tanzania.Specifically ISTEP has hired a full time Technical Officer located at TCT office to spearhead among other things collection of Labor Markert information (LMI) data for Tanzania tourism sector.

  

The two day event will be held at the National college of tourism Dar es salam  Bustani campus.

The main goal is to bring together stakeholders with diverse background on tourism matters to share different experiences and create potential solutions for tourism sector problems. 

 

The main objective of the workshop is to raise awairness of TCT roles among stakeholders of tourism sector, to collect  inputs of stakeholders on development and functions of Tourism sector council, To establish council of Tanzania experts for independent technical opinions and recomamdations on all matters related to touism sector in Tanzania And to indetify priority areas of tourism employment for LMI toolkit trial activities . 

 

The exepectation is to involve representatives drawn  from the following six groups of tourism stakeholders . The Goverment of Tanzania ,Employer Associations, Employee Associations, Training Providerss NGOS and international development partners .
